Demian

        'Demian' or  'The story of Emil Sinclair's youth' is a Book written in Emile Sinclair's point of view. Throught this novel, we will follow Sinclair' life and see how confused he is in his life and about his future. Max Demian, also one of the protagonists, is Sinclair' childhood friend. He is very important in this story since he will actually lead Sinclair to his 'self-realization'. Eva, Demians' mother is Sinclair' ideal characterisation in life. Sinclair also got another mentor who is 'Pistorius' an organist at a local church, and who will help him to learn how to look inside himself for a spiritual guidance. 

Until now, everything seems easy, but how about when i tell you that both Demian and his mother Eva aren't real people, they are just the creation of Sinclair' subconscious. Through this book we will follow Sinclair' development both mentally and physically.  Well i guess some of you might be confused right now... Do not worry i will try to explain everything easily. 

To start with, you should know that each one of the members play Sinclair, representing a special aspect (mentally) of him. And once all these aspects gather, they form Sinclair. Now imma start by explaining part by part of the story, showing what does each member represent and how it is related to BTS MVS

Park Jimin- Lie 

(I actually had to find the book online (wattpad) and took few screenshots to illustrate what i actually mean.)

Jimin represent the Lie. In the beginning of the story, Sinclair is lying, inventing a story where he is the 'hero', this actually reminds me of Jimin' WINGS solo 'LIE'  when he lies about stealing apples. 

This part is a screenshot from the story where he actually confess lying about him stealing an apple. In LIE mv, jimin is in a psychiatric hospital, facing a camera that might be the representation of his friends/familly, to whom he is lying ! Later of the MV we can see him in a bathtub, trying to get out of the water but he can't. This means that jimin is now drowning in his own lies, and thats now it is to late. Despite him trying to prove he is not crazy, no one believes him ! He is alone!! But once he met bts, who are actually just the creation of his imagination not to be alone (like Damien and Eva for Sinclair) he is able to escape this place (RUN MV when all the members come to join him in the bathtub) thats what the explaination of his lyrics in LIE 

"Caught in a lie, find back the pure me. I cannot get out of this lie, Give me back my smile. Caught in a lie, Save me from this hell. I can't get out of this chaos, Save me who's being punished."

Further more the apple Sinclair "stole" is also found in LIE MV, AWAKE (by Jin) and BST (Japanese version) 

Taehyung- STIGMA

Tae is the lost and rebellious face of Sinclair, he becomes confused and unsure of what he thinks and believes. Tae is also the friend of Sinclair, Knaur, who wishes to commit suicide. When Demian left Sinclair (his imagination) Sinclair started driving crazy, inventing stories about him stealing apples, and even started consumming a big amont of alcohol which he considered as "a fissure" in his life: the boy who was so studious and perfect wasn't so anymore. 

   When Sinclair's life became meaningless he met Pistorius (Namjoon) who will be his new mentor and will be his spitirual guidance. But unfortunately he wont really succeed as taehyung will kill his father and will deny having any parents during the inquiry where he will reply to the police offier that 'i have no such things' when he will ask him about his parents. When stigma starts, we can see tae scratching the name 'Abraxas'. Abraxas is the god Demian tells Sinclair about. Unlike the Christian god who is only the god of good, Abraxas is the god of both good and evil and one must worship him in order to attain a higher life; which actually means that tae was able to switch from the good side to the evil one ! 

He will finally be able to escape from the 'evil' him by jumping into the water during HYYH and then drowning (Knaur) 

Namjoon- REFLECTION 

    As previously mentiones, Namjoon is Pistoris, but he is also the calm, intellectual face of  Sinclair who is looking to learn further things about himself and end up being approached by  Knaur (tae) for guidance. In I NEED YOU and RUN MVs both joon and tae were caught vandalizing. In fact it was namjoon who encouraged tae to vandalize so he can express what he really desire. Namjoon did not prevent tae from drinking and switching to the dark side, as he saw a reflection of himself in him (BST namjoon drinking) 

 In the 5th WING short film we can see Namjoon tattooing a bird on his hand that he got from a letter , this might seem confusing but the bird is also related to jimin !! In LIE short mv jimin was trying to fly and escape from his imagination and mind ! The bird in this book represents a desire to break free, to be independent. Symbolically, since the bird appears on Sinclair's childhood house, it shows that this yearning has been with Sinclair from the very beginning. Jungkook was seen holding the same letter and he even puts it into an envelope. This tells us that the letter Namjoon (Pistorius) recieved is from JK. Namjoon is tattooing himself, because when Sinclair turned himself in (to the police) he left Pistorius alone and  heartbroken.

In RUN MV, Namjoon is seen next to a booth, and is seen next to the same one during 'reflection' this actually shows that he knows (or still hope) that Tae will contact him at any moment and that he is ready to help him. Unfortunatelly, when tae will finally call namjoon to ask for his help, namjoon wont be able to pick up the phone as his has just drank alcohol and that he wont be able to control himself, to the point he will imagine that the booth is locked by chaines. This is when Tae and Joons relation ends. Namjoon have no role in Tae' life anymore. Tae was namjoon' reflection, but not anymore (which actually explain why did the glass break during REFLECTION). 

Hoseok- MAMA/Boys meets Evil

Hoseok is the main character of wings era !! He is Sinclair but also Eva, Demian' mother (remember that Demian and Eva are just Sinclair' imagination, a creation of his subconscious and by the same way represent him). In the book it is said "With a face that resembled her son's, timeless, ageless and full of inner strength, the beautiful woman smiled with dignity. Her gaze was fulfillment, her greeting a homecoming. Silently I stretched my hands out to her." Talking about Demian' mother that looks like exactly like him and that is represented in jungkook' painting.

Talking about paintings !! The painting of the forest in LIE MV symbolizes the freedom and light they have been imaginating. Before meeting Eva and Demian, Sinclair was depressed, and it got worst when they left him. This reminds me of hoseok' story when his mom abandoned him and he developed because of it the Munchausen Syndrome a psychiatric disorder where someone will make up events or illnesses to draw sympathy to himself ( Sinclair invented stealing apples in order to make people notice him) this disorder can lead to addiction. Both Hoseok and Sinclairare depressed, the depression and loneliness hoseok is stuck in, is represented by the box he's in. His addiction is to pills (anti-depressant) and it will lead him to faint (INU MV). Later on, this addiction will turn to chocolate (FAKE LOVE): in the book, whenever Sinclair was depressed, his mother rewarded him by feeding him something sweet. 

 In both, LIE and BOYS MEETS EVIL, a representation of bird is shown. Either as the shadow of hoseok or in a cage for LIE. The cage is the representation of the world, and the bird tries as much as possible to escape from there in order to be happy. When Jhope walks in the cage/room, we can see that the painting transform and is now changed into a picture of a mother and a child (Eva and Demian).

Jungkook- BEGIN

As the title of his short film shows, the story begins with jungkook. Yet i did not talk about him first because his story is one of the most complexed ones, and i wanted to be sure that yall will understand whats going on before introducing it. 

If the 'bird' references were kind of complex for you to understand, Jungkook parts will actually explain it all ! 

Jungkook is also Sinclair, the emotional side of him but also the pure and child version of him! In the beginning of the BEGIN mv, we can see him playing in a swing, meaning he is still a kid. Jungkook is the one that drew the most important object of this whole book: the painting and will realize later that his paintings represent Demian. When he does notice it, Jungkook does scream "HYUNG" before starting to cry ! He in fact saw Hoseok dying (hoseok is the representation of the painting). In the book is mentioned “The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God’s name is Abraxas.” This quote represent the bird we can clearly see on Jungkook' shirt.. Later on, we can see that the painting Jungkook made, burned, and that theres a glass that shatters. This actually represent the transition from Jungkook (Sinclair) childhood to adulthood, this is also illustrated by the fact that Jungkook at the end of the MV, become a bird. He now has WINGS and is ready to be free. Also in the MV we can see that jungkook hold the same letter with a bird that namjoon received and decided to get tattoed on his arm ! This means that now that jungkook is free, he might want to go find Namjoon. 

Yoongi- FIRST LOVE

I wanted to keep yoongi' part as the last part since the story is really heart breaking, but i decided it was better to put it after jungkook and put jin at the end since he will be the protagonist of the first part of the LY era, and that yoongi' story is really a lot connected to jungook. 

Yoongi is the rebellious face of Sinclair, he is mentored by Jungkook who is represented by the piano yoongi loves to play (only that its not the first time that we see this piano !! In DANGER mv the piano was actually played by jungkook), this shows that the relation between the two men is really strong.. But every happy story has an end. Later on during FIRST LOVE mv, yoongi' piano burn, which means that jungkook died. In INU and RUN era, we could see that yoonkook relationship was really toxic, jungkook was always trying to stop yoongi from his excessive anger and rebellion but he couldnt. During the WHOLE HYYH era, Yoongi acts drunk and reckless exactly like Sinclair. On his short film, we can see him walking before hearing the shattering of glass. As i told you all for jungkook, when the glass shattered, this means that his childhood is now ended and he is growing up, but it also has another meaning, Yoongi being the reflection of Jungkook and vise versa, he ran to the building and finds out that a car crashed jungkook who is now dead.This marks the end of Yoonkook friendship and the fact that yoongi also will start living a new life without his reflection. Later on, in  INU, we see Yoongi laying on the bed alone, and if you actually look closely you can see that the shirt jungkook was wearing in RUN before dying was hanged there. Yoongi, not being able to live without jungkook (his reflection), decided to burn the room while he was in it and died in order to join jungkook. In Euphoria, we can see that now yoonkook were able to re see each other and that they are sitting looking at the scenery together like during their childhood, a childhood they want to go back to so desesperally but cant.  

Jin- Awake 

Ok so FINALLY it is jin' part !! I don't know what are yall doing right now, but i invite yall to leave everything, sit down and CAREFULLY read this !! 

If you do remember what i said before, during hoseok' part is mentionned the following quote 'The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God's name is Abraxas.' I also told yall that to be 'free' the bird had to escape from its cage ! Thats exactly what jin did. Jin is the bird that broke out of the cage, he is now AWAKE and not living in his subconscient anymore. During his short movie, we can see the apple that is mentioned in jimin' lie. Since jin is the only awake member, we can actually see from his vision all the members but they are all represented by an object: the piano, the lighter, the potrait... Jin then pick 6 petals of lowers (lillies) : in the LY highlight, the petals got transformed to 6 flowers ! As the flowers most often associated with funerals, lilies symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death. 

These 6 petals stand each one of the members, jin then use the lighter to set fire to the petals making an end to BTS JOURNEY and by this to Sinclair' past life. Jin is the last form or represents the last phase of Sinclair's life. After burning the petals, they are now transformed into 6 pictures representing each member.

Some may have not know it, but jin is the MAIN protagonist of WINGS era, and this is showed by the previous eras. In RUN, he's the one recording the members who seems happy. He then build a house of card that will be destroyed by tae (the rebellious). In LY highlight, we can see that jin is driving a car, so we can mayhaps guess that he is the one that killed jungkook.
